The History of Diving Museum displays the artifacts of Drs. Joe and Sally Bauer, collected over a span of 40 years. It is one of the largest collections of diving helmets, hand-operated air pumps, armored suits, lights and other accessory gear, plus memorabilia, prints, photographs, books, and video in the entire world, and it represents the diving history of more than 30 countries. The Bauers opened the museum with the goal of helping educate the public on the recreational activity's storied past.
