Did you know that September 18 is National Cheeseburger Day? Now you have an excuse to indulge in a burger while you're in Key West! Here are a few of our favorite places around town to enjoy cheeseburgers.

Moondog Cafe & Bakery:

Moondog Cafe & Bakery is a relaxed restaurant located next to the Ernest Hemingway House. They have nine scrumptious burgers on their menu, ranging from a classic Moondog burger to unique concoctions like The Johnny Cash (blackened with grilled onions & peppers, Vermont white cheddar, sriracha mayo) and the Cinco de Mayo (spicy mexican salsa, queso fresco, grilled jalapeño, avocado, fresh cilantro).

Blackfin Bistro:

Blackfin Bistro is an upscale grill that knows how to make a mean burger. They offer a signature Blackfin Burger (bacon, swiss cheese, sunny side up egg), a veggie burger, a yellowfin tuna burger, and a wagyu burger.

Frita's Cuban Burger Cafe:

Frita's is a quaint Cuban restaurant that specializes in "The Frita," which is a unique street food with origins in 1930’s Cuba. The Frita is "a mouthwatering blend of beef and pork burger seasoned with Spanish spices and topped with a special sauce and crispy fried julienne potatoes, all sandwiched on a Cuban bun." This is a different type of a burger than Americans are used to, but it is exceptionally delicious! Don't miss out on it!

Garbo's Grill:

Garbo's Grill is a tiny food stand run by a husband and wife duo. Their Umamiburger ("1/2 pound fresh ground angus, topped with a heirloom tomato, applewood bacon, chipotle gouda then served on a brioche bun") is delicious. You'll find their tasty food outside of Hank's Hair Of The Dog Saloon!

Conch Shack:

The Conch Shack is a casual spot known for conch fritters and other seafood dishes. They offer both cheeseburgers and veggie burgers.

Sloppy Joe's Bar:

Sloppy Joe's Bar has been serving classic, yummy burgers since the 1930s. Here, you can enjoy a great meal while immersing yourself in Key West history. Just ask for the "Ernie Burger" (offered plain or with the optional add-ons of cheese and bacon).
